Recently I have been trying different forms of marketing from Twitter to face-to-face networking to Search Engine Optimisation
I found all of these forms of marketing are good but the one I’ve had by far the most success with is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). I’ve got leads from the other types of marketing but with the SEO I’m getting four or five calls a week. Now I’m in a position where I can pick and choose the best jobs.
I’m going to explain what I did to get those results from SEO. Its real simple. First I looked at my competition and I looked at the keywords they were using and I’ve used similar keywords, things like ‘Web Design Bromley’, ‘Search Engine Optimisation Bromley’ and ‘WordPress Developer London’ . After that I did 2 things.
Create good content (use WordPress)
I created good content for my website (that real people would find interesting and want to read). To create the content I used a Content Management System (CMS) called WordPress, this makes content creation for your website quick and easy. For example see this page I wrote about onsite SEO: How to SEO your website , in the content I repeated my keywords a few times not excessively then promoted this content on social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
Get good quality links to your website
I got links from good websites that are relevant to my field (Web Design and WordPress Web development). So I commented on blogs and forums that were popular and that I was interested in (that would allow me to have a link back to my website). An example being Sitepoint , which is a website that contains lots of good up to date information on web design and WordPress etc.
It’s that simple so what are you waiting for get blogging on your website and get good inbound links to your website. In no time you’ll be on the first page of Google search results, with clients ringing you up to buy your products and services.
