Lingo Quiz is a language quiz website for GCSE students, dedicated to helping those learning Spanish , be they adult learners, hobbyists or traditional students ( and those teaching and tutoring languages ). The aim of the website is to aid learning by providing free online language learning games and tools. The thinking being that using games and tools aids the learning process, rather than just reading , the free games and tools allow students to think about what they’ve learned and how to apply that learning to the games and puzzles to solve and play them.
There are various technologies involved in the website such as PHP, Mysql, WordPress, Javascript (mostly vanilla Javascript), AWS, Docker and Server side Java.
Many of the games heavily utilise Javascript to make the games more reactive to user input and friendly to play on a multitude of devices.
The website will grow over time with more and more free online language learning games being added to help Students, Adult Learners and Teachers and tutors help their students with the learning of a foreign language for example such as learning Spanish.
